Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, Isle of Wight County Schools will implement a new grading scale for students in grades 3-12. This modified 10-point scale will includes "plus" and minus" grades.

 

The differences between the two grading scales are demonstrated below:

    The grading scale for Isle of Wight County Schools consists of sections for letter grades, score ranges, and descriptions of performance. The grading scale follows:

   Middle School teachers shall establish standards and Pass/Fail grades in exploratory subjects and skills taught for less than a full semester.
